Obituary of William C. Dietz
William C. Dietz, age 90, of Cincinnati (Delhi), OH passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021, at Bayley Nursing Home in Cincinnati. He was a retired Car Inspector for CSX Railroad and a U.S. Army Veteran. Bill was a 33rd Degree Mason and was part of the brotherhood of Bradford Lodge 123 (Independence, KY), the Delhi Lodge, the Latonia Lodge, the Scottish Rite, the York Rite, and the Royal Order of Scotland. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, farming and spending time with his family.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William J. Dietz and Nellie Marks Dietz; sister, Lavera Peters; and step-son, Robert McCarthy. Bill is survived by his beloved wife (of 41 years) Donna McCarthy Dietz; step-daughter Donna (Kevin) Tallent; step-daughter-in-law Pamela McCarthy; sister Selma Chipman; grandchildren Jason (Andrea) McCarthy, Nick (Cara) McCarthy, Ryan (Kathleen) Tallent, and Trisha (Omar) Pabon; and great grandchildren Nicholas and Alexis McCarthy, Emma and Sophia McCarthy, Brock and Trent Tallent, and Cooper Pabon.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 25, 2021, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. with a Masonic service beginning at 10:30 a.m. and his funeral service to follow at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. Interment will be at Floral Hills Cemetery in Taylor Mill, KY.
