Obituary of Mitchell "Mitch" Meiman

     Mitchell “Mitch” Meiman, age 62 of Taylor Mill, KY passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY. He was born the son of George and Mary Ann (Wilson) Meiman.

     Mitch was a family orientated man who loved the outdoors. You could always find him sitting in the backyard just enjoying the peace and quiet or starting a fire. He worked as a plant operator for SD1. Mitch also liked to travel, having traveled to Alaska, Ireland, Hawaii and cruising the Bahamas with his wife. He liked classic rock music and was a huge UK fan. Mitch will be greatly missed by all of his family, but especially his grandchildren whom he loved so much.

     He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ann Meiman and his son, Anthony “Tony” Schaaf.

     Mitch is survived by his beloved wife, Judith (Corcoran) Meiman; daughters, Anita Bernard (Rick) and Sarah Combs (Kyle); father, George Meiman; grandchildren, Brady Willenbrink and his siblings, Makenzie Bernard, Alexis Bernard, Ricky Bernard, Macie Bernard, Kylie Combs, and Eli Combs; sisters, Shelly Cook (Pat) and Lori Lucas (Tony); nieces and nephews, Lindsey Capek (Mike), Ashley McGill (Andy), Drew Lucas (Cheryl), and Chad Lucas; and his great nieces and nephews.

     Visitation will be held on Monday, September 20, 2021 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at 10:00AM at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 3285 Mills Rd, Taylor Mill, KY 41015. Burial will follow at New St. Joseph’s Cemetery,4500 Foley Rd, Cincinnati, Ohio 45238.

     Memorial donations can be made in  Mitch’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601 or St. Jude’s, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
