Obituary of Allyen Cook Edmondson

     Allyen Cook Edmondson, age 84, of Erlanger, KY (formerly of Independence, KY) passed away Sunday, September 26, 2021.  She was a homemaker and a long-time member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church, where she served as Sunday School and Vacation Bible School Secretary for many years.  Allyen enjoyed watching game shows, old western movies, and Days of Our Lives.  Most of all, she cherished spending time with her beloved family. 

     Her parents, Dan and Ruby Poland Cook; brother, W.A. Cook; sisters, Francis Edmondson, Beatrice Garvey, and Lois Edmondson, all preceded her in death.  She is survived by her loving husband (of 61 years), William R. Edmondson; children, Gina (Jim) Taylor, Carla (Alexis) Rocco, and Anthony (Vickie) Edmondson; siblings, Della Edmondson, Paul (Janet) Cook, and Bobby (Peggy) Cook; grandchildren, Allison, Kevin, Nicholas, Brendan, Ashley, Rowdy, Krystal, Mya, Curtis, Jason, and Jesse; several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. 

     Visitation will be Saturday, October 2, 2021, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with the funeral service immediately following at 1 p.m. at Oak Ridge Baptist Church, 6056 Taylor Mill Rd., Covington, KY 41015.  Interment will be at New Vine Run Cemetery in Dry Ridge, KY.  Memorials may be made to Oak Ridge Baptist Church.  For directions or to leave the family a message of condolence, please visit the corresponding tabs on this page.
