Obituary of Barry Russell Ashbrook
Barry Russell Ashbrook, 57 of Taylor Mill, KY passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Health Care in Ft. Thomas, KY. He was born the son of Russell and Fannie Cole Ashbrook on October, 22, 1963.
Barry proudly served as a staff sergeant in the United States Airforce for many years. He then worked as a mechanic for Delta Airlines for several years before he went to truck driving. Barry was currently driving for Dayton Freight. Although he was a hard worker, he still made time to do the things he enjoyed most. Barry enjoyed riding his motorcycle, woodworking, building model trains, listening to classic rock music, and playing his guitar. He also loved fishing and camping in the outdoors. His greatest accomplishments in life were his two wonderful children.
Barry was preceded in death by his parents; his sister Rebecca L. Eversole; nephew Srgt. Ronald J. Forsyth. Those left to carry on his legacy are his children, Brandon (Tabitha) Ashbrook and Shéetom “Shée” Ashbrook; mother of his children, Annette Hufferd; brother, Kelvin (Rhonda) Ashbrook; one grandson, Brennon Ashbrook; best friends, Tony (Vickie) Wiggins and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews who will miss him beyond measure.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY on Saturday, November 6, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM with a service immediately following. Barry will be laid to rest at 10:00 AM on Monday, November 8, 2021 at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North, 205 Eibeck Lane, Williamstown, KY 41097.
