Obituary of Charles Philip Casson
Charles Philip “Phil” Casson, of Walton, KY went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY at the glorious age of 83.
He was born in Morning View, KY on May 22, 1938; the son of the late Rudolph and Easter Belle Casson. Phil had an immense work ethic, having worked as a machinist for RA Jones for over 40 years. In his spare time, Phil enjoyed golfing, fishing and working on automobiles and vacationing in Florida and Gatlinburg. His greatest joy, however, came from spending time with his beloved family, especially his grandchildren, who he cherished deeply.
Preceding Phil in death were his parents; several brothers and sisters and his faithful four-legged companion, his dog Heidi Tye.
Those left surviving to carry on Phil’s legacy include his wife of 63 years, Jozetta (nee Flickinger) Casson; sons, Jeff (Amy) Casson and David (Ellen) Casson; sisters, Mary Lou Grimes, Violet Lipscomb and Velma Sala; grandchildren, Erika (Chad) Hunter, Kyle Casson, Emma Casson, Sophia Casson, Samuel Casson and Brooklynn Casson; great-granddaughter, Adelynn Hunter; as well as many other close relatives and friends.
