Obituary of Darryl Lynn Houston

Darryl Houston, 45, of Morning View, died Thursday at his residence. He was an independent artist, a Navy veteran, and a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church, Independence.
Survivors include a daughter, Christen Houston of Norfolk, Va.; his mother, Frieda Glaser Houston of Morning View; his stepfather, Harold D. Bowman of Morning View; brothers, Dan L. Houston of Pikeville, David A. Houston of Morning View, Greg M. Houston of Savannah, Ga., and Harold D. Houston of Ryland Heights; and a sister, Valerie S. Gallagher of Independence.
Services will be at 8 p.m. Monday at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Visitation will begin there at 5 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mr. Houston will be cremated. Memorials are suggested to Pikeville High School Band, 100 Championship Drive, Pikeville, Ky. 41501.
