Obituary of Nancy Carol Works

     Nancy Carol Works of Union, age 79, passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. Nancy was born on January 30, 1942 in Covington, KY to the late Edwin and Dicey Mae Weathers. Nancy attended Hickory Grove Baptist Church for many years. She spent her life doing a variety things. She was a member for 21 years of the NKY Women’s Auxiliary whom assisted in different needs for the Salvation Army. Nancy was president of the Salvation Army from 2008 until 2014, she was very involved in the Grateful Life Rehabilitation Center, and was a volunteer in fundraising for St. Elizabeth Hospice. Throughout her life, Nancy also worked as a hairdresser, an innkeeper for a bed & breakfast, and most importantly a homemaker. Nancy was a mom, grandma, sister, and friend who will be remembered by her infectious laugh and her ability to cook. She always loved to feed people and send them home with food. Nancy will be missed beyond measure.

     She is survived by her loving children, Mark (Barbara) Wilson, Bryson (Andrea Gordon) Wilson, and Gene (Crystal) Works; sister, Barbara (Charles) Maclean; beloved grandchildren, Marcus Wilson, Morgan Wilson, Bryson Wilson II, Lance Wilson, Michael Works, and Cody Works; as well as many close friends and extended family members who will cherish her memory.

     In addition to her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her siblings, Charlotte McCracken, Pauline Kennedy, and William Weathers.

     A visitation will be held for Nancy on Friday, November 19, 2021 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Hickory Grove Baptist Church, 11969 Taylor Mill Rd, Independence, KY 41051. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM at the church. Her close friend, Brother Hooten will be officiating the service. Immediately following the service, Nancy will be laid to rest at Highland Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, KY.
