Obituary of Linda Sue Ramsey Strickland

Linda Sue Ramsey Strickland, age 72, of Batavia, OH, passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021, at The Laurels of Milford in Cincinnati, OH.  Linda was born on May 10, 1949. She was a retired restaurant manager and her hobbies included reading, crocheting, and following the Arkansas Razorbacks.   Linda had a strong faith, enjoyed Elvis Presley music and movies, and loved spending time with her grandkids.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney Lei Strickland; parents, John Wesley Ramsey and Elsie Balentine Ramsey; and siblings, Bill Ramsey, Dewey Ramsey, Levi George Ramsey, Guylah Miles, Zelma Ripper, and Donald Ramsey.  Linda is survived by her children, Jay Martin (Carla), Patty Herrmann (Bob), and Karen Pachicano; siblings, John Wesley Ramsey (Carol) and Lavoy Ramsey (Wanda); ten grandchildren, Emily Crabtree (Matt), Christian Martin, Geoffrey Herrmann, Joshua Martin (Camryn), Katelyn Herrmann, Isaias Pachicano, Lt. James Ryan Martin, Brianna Herrmann, Kabalanna Pachicano, and Johnathan Daniel Martin; two great grandchildren; and countless nieces and nephews.  Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Walton, KY are assisting the family with local arrangements.  A visitation will be held Saturday, December 18, 2021, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. with a brief service to immediately follow at 11 a.m. at Malloy and Son Funeral Home, 3028 Broadway St., Galveston, TX 77550.  Interment will be at Houston National Cemetery in Houston, TX.  Memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans at dav.org or to the Alzheimer’s Association at act.alz.org.
