Obituary of Patti Sheryl Rehburg Capel

     Patti Rehburg Capel, age 67, of Elsmere, KY, passed away Saturday, December 25, 2021, in Cincinnati, OH.  She was the former Secretary of Heritage Academy School and a very active member of Heritage Fellowship Church in Florence, KY.  For many years, Patti was the warm, welcoming, first face everyone saw upon entering Heritage Academy and was known for caring for everyone else before herself.

     She enjoyed playing the piano, attending her children’s sports activities, and preparing and celebrating Christmas (some referred to her as “Mrs. Clause”).  Patti’s family was her world. She loved and adored her husband, Bert.  Everything revolved around her grandkids. Baking, teaching them the Bible, and creating memories on vacation, that is what she lived for.

     Her father, Jack Rehburg, preceded her in death.

     She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Bert Capel; her children, Bert Allan Capel (Stacy), Kristi Capel Hula (Hal), and Jackson Capel (Leah); mother, Ouida Rehburg; siblings, Steve Rehburg (Alicia), Jeff Rehburg (Arlynn), and Rich Rehburg (Brenda); and grandchildren, Myla Capel, Kinzli Capel, Bert Capel IV, Kyndal Hula, Duke Hula, Kapri Hula, Action Capel, and Cola Capel.

     Visitation will be Sunday, January 2, 2022, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. with services immediately following at 5 p.m. at Heritage Fellowship Church, 7216 U.S. Hwy. 42, Florence, KY 41042.  Interment will be at a later date in Mt. Hermon Methodist Church Cemetery in Mt. Hermon, NC.

     Memorials may be made to Heritage Fellowship Church.
