Obituary of Vada M. Bolin

     Vada M. Bolin, 85, of Walton, passed away surrounded by her family on Monday, December 27, 2021 at Boonespring Nursing Home in Union.

     Vada was born January 15, 1936, in Kings Mountain, KY to Mabel {Adams} and Joseph Crockett Evans. She married Arvel George Bolin in 1976. He passed away April 20, 2010.

     Vada was a life-long member of the First Baptist Church of Walton since 1955. She was a musician and was passionate about Bluegrass music, especially when her boys were playing. Vada loved her church family and enjoyed taking care of and feeding people, as she was an excellent cook.

     She will be deeply missed by her beloved daughter Connie Goins; sons Stephen “Steve” Lawrence and Phil (Juli) Lawrence; grandchildren Kyle (Amy) Goins, Khara (Bryan) Goins Phelps, Katie (Michael) Goins-Graham, Delaney Lawrence, Tonya Pauly and Bud Pauly; great-grandchildren Conner, Cooper, Jenna, Elly, Eva, Evan, Brody, Aiden and Aubry; great-great-grandson Brantley; and special companion, her dog Buddy.

     Vada was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Alvin Lawrence, second husband of 34 years Arvel “George” Bolin, step-daughter Teresa Bolin, brother Robert D. Evans, and son-in-law Jerry W. Goins.

     Visitation will be held between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday, January 1, 2022 at First Baptist Church of Walton, 47 S. Main St. Walton, KY 41094, with funeral services immediately following visitation at 4 p.m. Burial will take place at Walton Cemetery on Monday, January 3, 2022 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church of Walton at https://fbcwalton.onlinegiving.org/donate/login.
