Norma Kathleen “Kathy” Moore (nee: McElroy), 80, passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022.  She was the daughter of Joseph and Myrtle McElroy.

Kathy was a simple lady who enjoyed doing scratch off lottery tickets, playing BINGO, cooking and especially loved her family time with her grandbabies, great-grandbabies and great-great-grandbabies.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings: James “Pete” McElroy, Athel McElroy, Maxine Embry and Eva Hardy.

Kathy will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 59 years, Donald Moore; children: Debbie (Jay) Mefford, Donnie (Shannon) Moore and Dena (Jeff) Allen; 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.

A Gathering of Friends will be held on Sunday, January 16, 2022 from 11 AM until the time of Memorial Service at 1 PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051.
