Obituary of Cheryl Lynn Ritter

     Cheryl Lynn Ritter, of Erlanger, KY passed away at Highlandsprings of Ft. Thomas on Friday, January 14, 2022 at the age of 66.

     She was born in Cincinnati, OH on August 21, 1955, the daughter of the late Dale and Jeanne Carol Johnson. Cheryl was very active in the Boy Scouts of America and being outdoors and boating. She also had a love for animals, especially dogs which she had several beagles throughout her life. Cheryl enjoyed walking her dogs and visiting with everyone she met, especially those in her neighborhood.

     Preceding Cheryl in death were her parents; her husband, Charles “Chuck” Ritter; her daughter, Rachel and her brother, Dale Johnson III.

     Those left surviving to carry on Cheryl’s legacy include her son Chris Ritter (Naashom Marx); grandchildren, Carter Ritter, Kyle Ritter and Colin Ritter; sisters, Amy Levy and Wendy Kennedy; longtime family friend, Lori Hartzler; beloved and faithful beagle, Peaches; as well as many other relatives and friends who are now emptier upon her passing.

     Due to the current state of COVID, the family has requested that face masks and safe social distancing be required while at the church for all guests attending. We appreciate your compliance with the family’s wishes.

     A Gathering of Friends to celebrate Cheryl’s life will take place from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, 8461 Dixie Highway, Florence, KY 41042. A memorial service will immediately follow at the funeral home.

     In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any expressions of sympathy be made to the Freestore Foodbank, 1141 Central Pkwy, Cincinnati, OH 45202.
