Obituary of Flora Mae Sullivan

Flora Mae Sullivan, age 85, of Ft. Thomas, KY, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Emerald Trace Senior Care in Elsmere, KY.  She was a retired Secretary for Northern Kentucky University and previously had worked for Dayton Independent, Ludlow Independent, and Campbell County Schools.  Mae was a long-time member of Ft. Thomas Baptist Church and her greatest enjoyment was when she spent time with her family.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Sullivan, Sr.; parents, Nick & Lucy Crawford Brewer; siblings, Orville Brewer, Nick Brewer, Tea Baker, Zelphia Ballard, and Minnie Smith.  Mae is survived by her children, Sandy Verkamp (Andy) and Dan Sullivan (Julie); sister, Dina Wenderoth (Carl); grandchildren, Drew Verkamp (Charlette), Courtney Verkamp, Kylie Verkamp, Vance Sullivan, Hannah Sullivan, and Chance Sullivan; and great granddaughter, Vera Mae Verkamp.  Services will be private at the convenience of the family.  Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Southgate, KY.  Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home is assisting the family.  Memorials in lieu of flowers can be sent to Alzheimer’s Association, 644 Linn St., #1026, Cincinnati, OH 45203.  To leave the family a message of condolence, please go to www.chambersandgrubbs.com.
