Obituary of Pat Lockhart
Pat Lockhart of Morning View, age 78, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 31, 2022 in the comfort of her own home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born the daughter of Walter and Annabelle Lord on July 27, 1943. She graduated from Holmes High School.
Pat was a long-time employee of Kenton County Schools in the cafeteria and a member of Piner Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Piner Fiskburg Ladies Auxillary. Pat took pride in working for the election polls for many years. When she wasn’t at work, she loved to read mystery novels, craft, and grow flowers in her garden. She was an amazing cook and even canned her own vegetables (a lost art!). Pat was also a huge fan of criminal justice shows, her favorite being Law & Order! Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
Pat will be deeply missed by her husband, Tom Lockhart; her children Lisa Williams (Jim), Chris Newman (Wanda), Tricia Mann (Chris), Emily Albers (Joe); her siblings Helen DeSautel and Joyce Cliff; daughter-in-law Carla Newman; grandchildren Samantha, Sara, Brandy, Josh, Dylan, Hannah, Kristi, Megan, Marissa, Aaron, Adam, Nick, Kyle, Jacob, Rebecca, Katherine, Jonathan; as well as 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Larry Lord; and her son Paul Newman.
A visitation will be held to honor Pat’s life on Saturday, February 5, 2022, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. A funeral service will immediately follow at 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Pat will be laid to rest privately at Independence Cemetery on Monday February 7, 2022.
