Obituary of Emma Lou Yelton

Emma Lou Yelton, 88, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 20, 2022 at Villaspring in Erlanger, KY.  She was born the daughter to the late Albert and Margaret Lyons Pierman on February 19, 1934 in Dayton, KY. 

Emma Lou was a homemaker who took care of her family.  She was a long time member of Burlington Baptist Church.  Emma Lou belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star and enjoyed playing the piano and organ.  She was a pianist for Highland Hills Baptist Church in Fort Thomas, KY and also played at East Dayton Baptist Church.  She was a sweet and kind soul who touched many lives and will truly be missed.

Emma Lou is preceded in death by her parents, loving husband of 59 years, Rollie Clifford Yelton, and one daughter, Becky Casson.

Those left here to mourn Emma Lou’s loss are her children, Lou Emma (Roger) Moermond and Jim Casson; grandchildren, Rollie Mitchel (Sarah) Casson, Emily Faith (Scotty) Chable, Joshua Lee (Amber) Moermond, Taylor Michael (Danielle) Casson, Chelsea Nicole (Timothy) Schulze; great-grandchildren, Wesley Carter Casson, Bradley Wayne Schulze, Easton Scott Chable,  Raleigh Caraline Casson, Charlotte Noelle Casson, Layla Grace Moermond, Zachary Lucas Schulze, Owen Ray Chable; one cousin, Arlene Utz and many other close friends who will miss her dearly.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at Chambers and Grubbs 8461 Dixie Highway, Florence, KY 41042. From 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.  A funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 PM. Emma Lou will then be laid to rest in the Burlington Cemetery, Burlington, KY 41005.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made in Emma Lou’s name to Burlington Baptist Church Youth 3031 Washington St. Burlington, KY 41005.
