Obituary of Gregory Lee Neff

Gregory Lee Neff, of Morning View, KY, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, April 1, 2022, at the age of 62 years old. The son of Joyce {Wolfe} and H. William Neff, Gregory was born in Covington, KY on June 12, 1959.

Greg married the love of his life, Tonya {Stephenson} on June 16, 1990.

Greg has been in the roofing business for over 30 years and was employed at Deer Park Roofing. In his spare time, you would find Greg hunting, building, camping and treasure hunting at Red River Gorge. He was a passionate outdoorsman and was known to be a jokester. He proudly held the Kentucky State Record Elk in 2007 and loved telling the story about the hunt. Greg most of all enjoyed spending time with his loving family and hosting family get-togethers.

Those to carry on Greg’s legacy are his beloved wife of 31 years, Tonya Neff; daughters Mollie and Macie Neff; mother Joyce Neff; siblings Sheree Flesch, Cathy (John) Reising, Terry (Bob) Rhein, Jay (Terri) Neff, and Margaret Neff; and his grand-dog Buckie.

Greg was preceded in death by his father, his brother William A. Neff, and two dogs Hank and Bailey.

Visitation will be held between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike Independence, KY 41051. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on April 8, 2022 at St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church, 1839 Euclid Avenue, Covington, KY 41014. Greg will be laid to rest at Independence Cemetery following mass.
