Obituary of Roy Donald Klein

Roy Donald Klein of Union, age 88, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2022 at his home. He was born on August 6, 1933 to the late Stella and Roy Bradford Klein. Roy attended University of Kentucky and retired from Cincinnati Bell where he worked as a benefits manager. He was a member of Florence United Methodist Church for many years, a KY Colonel, and a Gideon. Roy was an avid sports fan who rooted for the Reds, Bengals, and his all-time favorite- the UK Wildcats. He also enjoyed playing tennis through his 80’s. Roy was always very generous with his time, he loved to spend time with his family, especially his sons. He truly was a great role model and the best father his boys could ask for. Roy was a husband, father, brother, and grandpa who will be deeply missed and cherished for the kind-hearted, graceful gentleman that he was.

Roy is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Patricia “Pat” Klein; beloved sons, Brad (Marie) Klein and Keith (Margaret) Klein; siblings, Jackie Gentry and Karen (Ronald) Coleman; step-granddaughter, Tara (Hanny) Singh; step-great-grandchild, Lucian Singh-Hindi; as well as many other friends and relatives who will cherish his memory.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on Monday, April 25, 2022 at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 8461 Dixie Highway Florence, KY 41042.
