Obituary of Grace Jean Hyden Cahill

     Grace Jean Hyden Cahill, 78, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Health Care in Florence, KY.  She was born the daughter to the late Raleigh and Doak Hensley Hyden on March 7, 1944 in Oneida, KY.

    In her earlier years, Grace worked in factory work and was a full time home maker to her four children. She enjoyed listening to country music and always finding deals at garage sales.  Grace also took cake decorating classes in her spare time. She also enjoyed traveling to Gatlinburg, TN. However, her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

     Those left here to carry on Grace’s wonderful legacy are her loving husband of twenty two years,  Patrick Cahill; children, Sandra (Randy) Edwards, Kenneth (Jackie) Johnson, Donna Saylor, Lovine (Bryan) Million; one brother, Roy (Jackie) Hyden; grandchildren, Celeste (Ryan) Utz, Tevis (Brittany) Edwards, Bradley Saylor, Brent (Hannah) Johnson, Josh (Nancy) Johnson, Trevor Johnson, Brooke (McKenzie) Harper, Dalton Million; great grandchildren, Rylan Edwards, Reid Edwards, Ella Kay Johnson, Ezekiel Johnson, Tate Johnson, Cole Johnson, Grayson Johnson, Pearce Harper; nieces and nephews, and many other friends and family.

     A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home 8461 Dixie Highway, Florence, KY 41042 at 10:00 AM. Grace will then be laid to rest at Highland Cemetery, 2167 Dixie Highway, Ft. Mitchell, KY

     In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made in Grace’s name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
