Condolences to the Lawson family, I just saw this 9/23 and was saddened by the news. We were old neighbors in Kankakee and spent our childhood together with Tom and Mike(Mickey) as we called him. Many many fond memories, and great times we had.

Had many awesome times fishing with Mike at Laurel Lake....he always made me laugh when we would take turns jabbing each other with “quotes” from the Andy Griffith shows....

Mike was like a brother to me and was always there when I needed him. I don't know what life will be like without him. The ballgames, fishing trips, road trips, just hanging out playing our guitars, those are the memories that will stay with me for the rest of my life. You'll be on my mind every day. I love ya and miss ya bro!

Our most sincere condolences to Vicky, the kids and all of the Lawson Family. Mike was one of the 1st people I met when I moved/transferred to Cinci in the early 90s. Delta had a hockey team back in the day and we both loved hockey, Mike welcomed the “new” guy and made sure I got on the team. Those were fun times , met so many good people , thank you Mike. He was proud of his “hooking” (hockey term) prowess and prouder of the time he spent in the penalty box, he lived up to and wore the Dr. Hook nickname with pride. Some of my funniest and fondest memories at Delta involved Mike, always with a smile and a story. I moved on at Delta and Mike retired but a few years later Maria and I bought a house in Union, guess who lived around the corner ? I would see Mike often, always with a “How are Maria and the boys”. I always left those conversations with a smile and a Mike story for Maria. He was the genuine article, no fuss, no BS , what you saw is what you got, a throwback (in the best of ways) to older times in my eyes , someone I genuinely liked and appreciated, I will miss you Mike.

Mike,
I love you to the moon and back. You are the glue that kept our family in touch.
Mike n I our 1st cousins, and his mom Rita lived with us for many years. Mike and I both worked for Delta and our anniversaries were exactly 1 year apart craxy.
Mike n Vicky lived by us in Ft Lauderdale where Jon was born then Mike moved to Texas and Kentucky. I will miss your phone calls, your laugh, your voice. Mike came to Las Vegas for a visit on standby which is no easy fate. He attended Frontsight which is a advanced gun course. Loved his visit. Please give Aunt Rita a wedgey for me.

Michael came into our family like a fireball, full of energy, causing trouble and fit right in. He could be caring, funny and annoying all at the same time but he would do anything for you. He was an enthusiastic Chicago sports fan, loved hanging out & talking with family & friends. He had his own way of living & loving & caring for his family but he did! He left this world quickly & without warning which was his style and will be missed. Rest In Peace Michael. We will speak of you often and with memories to make us shake our heads & laugh! God speed. Brian & Nita
