Obituary of William M. Coldiron
William M. Coldiron of Crittenden, age 58, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY. He was born in Covington, KY on January 24, 1964 to the late Coleman and Martha Coldiron. Bill was currently working for ITW as a warehouse coordinator and is a veteran having proudly served his country in the United States Army National Guard. He was ranked as a SSG and served in Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. Bill also served as a medic in the military. In his spare time, Bill enjoyed watching sports and listening to games on the radio. He was a fan of the UK Wildcats and the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals. He collected Beanie Babies and model cars. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandbabies. Bill ate ice cream as if it were his job, and especially loved his wife’s meatloaf dinners. He was a great husband, dad, papaw, brother, and friend who will be missed beyond measure.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Coldiron.
He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Rebecca “Becky” Coldiron; children, Jonathan (Betsy) Carnes, Shannon (Justin) Cahill, and Seth (Noahlee) Coldiron; beloved grandchildren, Robbie Mains, Madison Carnes, Brayden Webster, Carli Carnes, Eric John Webster, and Corbin Coldiron; siblings, Charlie (Toni) Coldiron, Brenda Mangold, Sherrie (Mark) Kremer, Roger Coldiron, Doveye (Jeff) Razor, and Joyce (Brad) Gay; best friends, Don, Terri, and Chaz Campbell; as well as many other friends and relatives who will cherish Bill’s memory.
A visitation will be held for Bill on Friday, May 20, 2022 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike Independence, KY 41051. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at the funeral home. Immediately following the service, Bill will be laid to rest at Independence Cemetery with military honors.
