Obituary of Tag Pearson

Tag (Edna Mae) Pearson, 89, of Union, KY, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

The daughter of the late Luther and Cassie Risner, Tag was born in Wolf County, KY on May 2, 1933.

Tag retired from a career with American Airlines working in both Cincinnati and Tampa. She had a passion for traveling world-wide with her husband Nils-Olaf. She also enjoyed gardening with her granddaughter, antique collecting, re-finishing furniture, faux painting, reading and cooking. She is remembered as a kind, loving, compassionate, hardworking, generous, smart, sweet woman who loved the Lord. Tag was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Verona Ky.

In addition to her parents, Tag is preceded in her passing by her sister, Lucille Maddox, brother, J.D. Risner and grandson Ryan Cady.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Nils-Olaf, daughter Glenda Levin of Jamestown TN, son-in-law Tom Cady, granddaughter Kelly Bailey (Jeffery), great granddaughters Jessica and Brooke Bailey, and great-great grandson Owen Miller of Verona, KY. Additional survivors include her step children and their families: Vanessa Ford, grandson Bradley (Courtney) Camerlengo-Ford and great grandson Callen of Hyannis, MA, Carl (Deborah) Pearson, granddaughters Mandy (Drew) great granddaughter Abbey and great grandson Alden Caplice of Jacksonville, FL, and Molly-Jean Pearson of Jacksonville, FL and Christopher (Emer-Garland) Pearson of Boston, MA.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 45 N Main St, Walton, KY 41094 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service will immediately follow at noon at the funeral home. Tag will be laid to rest at New Bethel Cemetery.
