Obituary of Lois J. Rodgers

Lois Jean Martin Rodgers, age 93, of Florence, KY, passed away, Monday, June 20, 2022 at Charter Senior Living in Edgewood, KY.  She was a homemaker, who enjoyed watching horse racing, the Cincinnati Reds, and U.K. basketball.  Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Douglas “Chuck” Rodgers, grandson, Billy Sams, sister, Becky Steltenkamp, and brother Bob Martin.  She is survived by her children, Charles R. Rodgers, Fred Rodgers (Kathleen), and Pattie Sams (Bill “Speed”); grandchildren, Jennifer Emerson Polewski (Dave), Brad Rodgers (M’Ballou), and John Rodgers; great grandchildren, Brett Emerson (Michaela), Bryce Emerson, Nathan Rodgers, Brianna Rodgers, Avery Polewski, and Danielle Polewski; and great-great grandson, Everett Thomas Emerson.  A visitation will be held Friday, June 24, 2022, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051.  There will be no formal funeral service.  Interment will be at Highland Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, KY.  Memorials may be made to the Franklin County Humane Society, 1041 Kentucky Ave, Frankfort, KY 40601.  For directions or to leave the family a message of condolence, please go to www.chambersandgrubbs.com.
