Obituary of Wallace Grubbs

Wallace S."Buddy" Grubbs, age 78 of Louisville, formerly of Walton, passed away peacefully Wednesday December 14, 2011. He was born September 11, 1933 in Walton, Ky., the son of Mary Scott Chambers and Wallace Keene Grubbs. Buddy was a retired Funeral Director and Embalmer with their family funeral homes of Chambers & Grubbs. He is preceded in death by his first wife Sharon Grubbs; brother, Jim Grubbs; and brother-in-law Deane Poore.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Linda Harbin(Graff) Grubbs; 3 step-daughters, who loved him as their own dad, Lesley Graff-Vincent (Jim), Janet Graff-Oliver (Keith) and Brandy D. Graff; 2 daughters, Melodee Merrell (Rick) and Margo Grubbs; 2 sons, Scott and Terry Grubbs; 5 step-grandchildren, Jenna, Amber, Carlye, Wyatt and Jorja; grandchildren, Tony Miller and Holly Biss; and 2 great-grandchildren, Addison and Bria; sisters, Jeanette Clore (David) and Liz Poore; brother, John A. Grubbs (Helen); sister-in-law, Janice Grubbs and many nieces and nephews.
A gathering of friends will take place Sunday, December 18, 2011 at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home of Walton from 2-4 pm. Memorial service will be held at 4 pm. Memorial donations requested to charity of choice.
