Obituary of Aline Hager

Aline Hager of Independence, age 94, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2022, at her home. She was born in Jamestown, TN on November 20, 1927, to the late Jack and Loma Howard. In her younger years, Aline spent time working in her garden, canning vegetables, and cooking. Her most important job was to raise her children and take care of her home. She was strong minded, compassionate, and very giving. She loved her family with every ounce of her being and always spoke her mind. She was a mother and grandmother who will be missed beyond measure.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Odell Hager; brother, William “Bill”; sisters, Irene, Charlene, and Wanda; her sons, Roger, Ronnie, and Steve; and her grandson, Jessie.

She is survived by her loving children, Diane Daniels, Danny (Judy) Hager, and Jerry (Christine) Hager; 8 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren; as well as other friends and relatives who will cherish her memory.  

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 8461 Dixie Hwy Florence, KY 41042. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM. Immediately following the service, Aline will be laid to rest in Crittenden Christian Cemetery.
