Obituary of Michael L. Bargo
Michael L. Bargo, 63, of Covington, KY was called home to the Lord on August 29, 2022. Mike was born the son of Linville Ray and Patricia Bell [Slayback] Bargo on March 21, 1959 at Booth Hospital in Covington.
Mike started his career in the manufacturing sector. He then moved into entrepreneurship. He retired from his formal occupation but never stopped being a jack of all trades. His vast knowledge of so many things enabled him to repair, restart and re-invigorate almost anything he set his mind to. Mike enjoyed studying martial arts and was a black belt in taekwondo. During the fall season, he loved watching college football on tv and was always helping out at his church: Community Family. He volunteered alot and his passion projects were Operation Christmas Child and Main St. Care Ministry. He very much adored watching and rooting for his grandchildren in their various sports activities. There’s a Mike-sized hole in the lives of so many at this very moment. He was a dear husband, father, brother, papaw and pops and will be greatly missed.
Those left to carry on Mike’s legacy are his wife of 27 years Janet Bargo; children Jason Bargo (Mandi) and Jessica Hyden (Dan); brother Kevin Bargo (Jill); grandchildren Leilah Hyden, Ava Hyden, Jadon Bargo, Gabriel Bargo, and Zoe Bargo; as well as many members of his church family, friends and other close relatives.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents.
A visitation will be held at Community Family Church (11875 Taylor Mill Rd, Independence, KY 41051) on Friday September 2, 2022. The family will receive guests from 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM. Following the service, Mike will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park (3227 Dixie Hwy, Erlanger, KY 41018). Suggested donations may go to the Community Family Church Building Fund.
