Obituary of Fletcher Ray Holliday
“Come to the woods, for here is rest. There is no repose like that of the green deep woods.
--John Muir
Our precious Fletcher Holliday, beloved baby boy of Dalton and Mauri Holliday of Demossville, KY was born and passed away enveloped in his mother’s arms on Monday, September 26, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood. Fletcher experienced hugs and kisses and holding hands with his mommy and daddy as well as being told “I love you” an uncountable number of times. Fletcher wiggled in response to these “I love yous” before saying goodbye. His soon-to-be-favorite color was green, like the beautiful forest surrounding his home. He was also well on his way to having a pretty impressive Hot Wheels collection. There is no doubt he would be both kind and strong, just like his parents. In Fletcher’s short time with us, this baby bear touched many hearts.
In addition to his loving parents, Fletcher’s light shines on within his ‘grandberry’ Jessica Holliday (Chris); ‘gramma’ Kelley Alford (David); aunts and uncles Nick Alford, Evan Alford, Skyler Holliday, Ashton Holliday; cousins Cade Alford and Waylon Alford; as well as great-grandparents Helen Green, Kenny Hicks, Dennis and Beverly Ballard and Paula and Gary Burris.
He is greeted in heaven with a big hug by great-grandparents Doris and Ronald Alford, great-grandpa Jim Holliday and great-great grandma Estelle Dance.
