Obituary of Eileen Miriam Burkhart

Eileen Burkhart, 84, of Cold Spring KY, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at St. Elizabeth Hospice Care in Edgewood, KY. The daughter of the late Abraham Frye and Frances Frye, Eileen was born in Randolph, MA on February 24, 1938.

Eileen married the love of her life, Wallace Burkhart, on December 19th, 1959.

She worked at Stanley Tools the majority of her working years. She retired in 1999.

She loved playing Bingo, going to the casino, watching the deer outside, and spending time with her great granddaughter.

Eileen will be deeply missed by her beloved husband of 62 years, Wallace Burkhart; daughter Delinda (Gary) Lajoie; grandchildren Tanya (Corey) Staton and Keith Lajoie; great-granddaughter Charlotte Staton; and brother David (Kay) Frye.

Eileen was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Lisa (Carl) Pfaehler and son Richard (Nancy) Burkhart, brother Ralph Frye, sisters Louise Packard and Mabel Frye.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 8th from 12-2pm at LaRosa’s Pizzeria in Taylor Mill, KY.  Memorial donations may be made in Eileen’s name to Susan G.
