Obituary of Omar Lewis

Omar L. Lewis Sr., 77, of Covington, died Sunday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. He was a retired welder from Littleford-Day, Florence.
Survivors include his wife, Ginny Lewis; sons, Omar Lewis Jr. of Napoleon, Dennis Lewis of Latonia, Gerald Lewis of Lakeview, Ohio, Bobby Lewis and Daryl Lewis, both of Covington, John "Barry" Lewis of Morning View, and Willie Lewis of Richwood; daughter, Darlene Coldiron, Aparta; stepsons, Fred Stilt of Covington and Wernher Stilt of Ludlow; stepdaughters, Gin Roberts of Covington and Ria Lewis of Zoe; a brother, Wayne Lewis of Frankfort; 33 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Visitation will begin there at 9 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Independence Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association, 8899 Brookside Ave., Suite 102, West Chester, Ohio 45069; or to the charity of the donor's choice.
