Obituary of Patricia Lane Headen

Patricia “Patty” Ann Lane Headen, 78, of Newport, KY, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 4, 2022, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Ft. Thomas. The daughter of the late Mattie {Roberts} and Emanuel Lane Sr., Patricia was born in Covington, KY on January 24, 1944. A graduate of NKU, Patty received an associate degree in graphic design.

Patricia was a lifelong member of the Corinthian Baptist Church, and she was an active member of the Eastern Star #56 and held the titles of Commandress and Deputy of the Desert. In her spare time, Patricia loved to go bowling, dance, and play Bingo. She enjoyed watching old cowboy movies, cooking—especially for Thanksgiving, and she had a deep love for New Orleans and their Mardi Gras celebrations.

A beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Patricia will be deeply missed by her children Anthony (Lila) Lane, Marvin Manning, Darrin (Katherine) Manning, Joy Symour/Manning, and Janeesha Amison; siblings Ethel “Bunny” (Larry Sr.) Miles, Connie (Clarence Sr.) Collins, Peggy Lane, Jimmy (Jennifer) Roberts, Tonya Roberts, and Mark Lane; 23 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. 

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Katie Patton, brother, Emanuel “Jeff” Lane Jr., granddaughter, Patty Manning, and aunt, Virginia “Gin” Johnson.

A visitation will be held between 10 AM and 12 PM with a funeral service to immediately follow at 12 PM all on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at Corinthian Baptist Church, 7^th and Saratoga St. Newport, KY 41071. Patricia’s inurnment will take place at Mary E. Smith Cemetery in Elsmere, KY. Memorial donations may be made to Southgate Street School at 225 Southgate St. Newport, KY 41071.
