Obituary of Carolyn VanHuss

Carolyn Cropper McNeely VanHuss, 83, of Burlington, died at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence. She was a retired substitute teacher from Boone County Schools, a member of the Boone County Garden Club and Burlington Baptist Church, and a former volunteer at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence. Her first husband, Lee R. McNeely Jr., died in 1982. Survivors include her husband, Harry L. VanHuss; a son, Lee Kirtley McNeely of Burlington; a daughter, Susan McNeely Shaw of Indianapolis, Ind.; stepdaughters, Dorssie Eldred of Covington and Faith V. Hammond of Georgetown; and six grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Burlington Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be in Bullitsburg Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Burlington Baptist Church, 3031 Washington St., Burlington, Ky. 41005. Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, Florence, is handling the arrangements.
