Obituary of Kathleen "Kitty" Joyce Blackburn

Kathleen “Kitty” Joyce Blackburn, 56, of Elsmere, KY, passed away peacefully at her residence, on Monday, January 2, 2023, after many years of battling cancer.  She was a former Stain Glass Designer, who enjoyed drawing, collecting nick-nacks, and spending time with her family.  Kitty is survived by her life partner (of 15 years), Joe Sargent; children, Christopher Populus and Leslie Blackburn; siblings, Robyn Gill (Randall) and Robert Blackburn (Violet); grandchildren, Alyssa George, Kealeon Curry, and Logan Freimuth; and many nieces and nephews.  Her parents, Robert and Dorothy Blackburn and brother, Lyle Blackburn, preceded her in death. 

Visitation for Kitty will be Sunday, January 8, 2023, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 8461 Dixie Highway, Florence, KY 41042.  Her funeral service will be Monday, January 9, 2023, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. 

Interment will be Floral Hills Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the family, c/o Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home.
