Gina and Tina, our sympathy and condolences at this time of loss. Your mom was such a talented & fun person. I still remember the fun times with your mom and dad at the IGA parties and gatherings. They were always up for a good time and you could see how much they loved each other and life. Your mom is now reunited at some special fishing hole with him. Donna was such a delightfully warm neighbor, always smiling, always caring. She will be dearly missed. My heart goes out to her loving family, who surrounded her with love, especially during her illness and final days.

My name is Connie. I showed Donna an apt here where I live. I knew her concerns and hopes for a safe place to live. She actually became my neighbor right across the hall from me. We immediately clicked. We both left for work the same time she uplifted me heading in and on cold days etc. We had a pool party on the 4th of July. Cookout and all. We had fun. My sisters came and expressed how much they liked Donna. I loved her and will miss her dearly. For those of you that knew her longer than I are fortunate. I met her children and other family members briefly but could tell they were a big part of her and just as kind. I knew her well enough to say she adored you all! ;)

Donna and I were joined through our husbands. Alan, my other half, and Willard were in the Marine Corps together and formed a friendship there. Willard wanted to get the four buddies together for a reunion and that’s when I met Donna. She opened her heart to me and pulled me right in. Although we didn’t see each other often, I will miss her smiling face. One remembrance was when she and Willard along with her daughter Tina’s family came to Memphis for a visit and we went to Graceland and to SUN Records. She was so excited to think she was touching the same microphone that Elvis had used to record his early songs. Such a fantastic person; such a loss for those of us who loved her. Enjoy your rest, Donna, and enjoy Willard again. We’ll meet again some day.

Aunt Donna was my favorite aunt. I loved her laugh, her kindness and how matter of fact she was. She was a fun loving aunt that allowed me to be a kid…no matter how loud, messy or hyper I was, I always knew that their home was a safe place to be me. Aunt Donna was always welcoming, I knew that she loved me and when there were sleep overs, I never wanted to leave. Most of my happy childhood memories are with her, my uncle and my cousins. I will never forget the day she helped save me from a vicious groundhog that tried to eat me alive and the hysterical laughing when it was all over with and the last time I saw her we laughed about it again. She left an imprint on my heart-more than she probably knew and I will cherish the memories I have, always.

The Perry’s made my high school days fun. They were an active pair of parents who were involved in their daughters lives. Their involvement with Simon Kenton’s Band was above and beyond recognition for the organization. While my memory cannot recall many specific incidents involving the Perrys , I always remember their smiles and laughter as they interacted with us kids and the other parents. They were the kind of parents that made things fun for us kids in a playful way. I never saw them be harsh or disappointed, they just gave what they could and that was appreciated. Their daughters had the same fun loving friendly demeanor. They were salt of the earth type people and will be dearly missed. Their obvious bond of love for one another and their family makes it difficult to speak of one and not the other! While I will miss the thought of you being with us here on earth, I am more grateful that you are among eternal love together with our Lord and all the mysteries of the universe will be revealed to you both. I can imagine Willard taking Donna around Heaven and saying “ you won’t believe this!”. True love reunited! God bless you both for your impact on earth and I hope you are enjoying your heavenly reward! I hope to laugh with you both again some day!!

I worked with Donna @ Paycor and she was a amazing woman. I remember her dressing up as Elvis on Halloween day at work. She was always smiling/laughing even on her bad days. She was always willing to step up and help you if needed it. She also made my flowers arrangements for my wedding (2008) which I still have. RIP Donna
