Obituary of Connie Keck

Connie Sue Keck of Independence, age 66, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at St. Elizabeth in Florence, KY. She was born in Nelsonville, OH on October 16, 1956, to the late Sigmund and Virginia Kozma. Connie retired from doing what she loved, which was being a lead caregiver at Redwood, a rehabilitation center for children. She retired to spend more time with her grandchildren whom she loved fiercely. Connie had a heart of gold and radiated with love; she raised her stepson as her own because that is just how she was. Connie was a strong woman, who was not afraid to give her opinion which was always well intended. She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Richard Keck; beloved children, Kelly (David Turan) Keck, Stephanie (James) Keck-Johnson, and Jeremy Keck; grandchildren, Callie and Max; siblings, Nancy Kidd, Anne Baumgardner, Kathie Kamps, and Kristi Kozma; many cousins; several nieces and nephews; as well as other close friends and relatives who will cherish her memory.

A gathering of friends will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023, from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 8461 Dixie Highway Florence, KY 41042. The memorial service will begin at 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
