Obituary of Jerre Ann Leffler
Jerre “G.G.” Ann Leffler (nee Powers) age 90, a long-time resident of Independence, KY, passed away Monday, February 20, 2023 at her residence. She was a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Covington, KY. Jerre was preceded in death by her husband, Jess Leffler; daughter, Vicki Leffler and son, Chuck Leffler. She was formerly employed by the Covington Board of Education, before she became a stay-at-home Mom.
Jerre enjoyed many things in life. She spent many hours scrapbooking and flower gardening. She also loved family vacations and country music. Watching sports was a favorite pastime as well. She passionately followed the Cincinnati Bengals, Cincinnati Reds, and her beloved University of Kentucky Wildcat basketball team.
She is survived by her children, Rick Leffler, Peggy (Mark) Williams, and April Stutler; daughter-in-law, Rhona Leffler; sister, Peggy Fowler; grandchildren, Jess (Kerry) Leffler, Claire (Mathias) Smith, Matt (Andrea) Leffler, Laura (Jake) Kwiek, Josh (Katherine) Stutler, Jessica (Jake) Bryant, Justin Stutler, Sarah (Jadyn) Leffler, Megan (Greg) Neace, Kendall (Nick) Howard, and Craig Williams; great grandchildren, Alex Leffler, Kaylee Neace, Kenslee Neace, Wakely Howard, Sawyer Kwiek, Eli Kwiek, Lila Kwiek, London Leffler, Liam Smith, and Leigh Smith.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 23, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon with the funeral services immediately following at noon at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. Interment will be at Floral Hills Cemetery in Taylor Mill, KY.
