Obituary of Frank B. Schweitzer
Frank B. Schweitzer passed away unexpectedly on January 23, 2023, at his residence in Shavano Park, Texas. He was born on November 27, 1937, in Covington, Kentucky to the late Frank M. and Anna Schumacher Schweitzer. Frank is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Mary J. Huesman Schweitzer; son Michael (Natalie Ottobrino), daughter Susan (Michael) Phillips, granddaughters Megan and Corinne Phillips and brother John Schweitzer.
Frank went to the Covington Latin School and then received his Bachelor’s degree, in Chemistry, from Villa Madonna College (now Thomas More University). He worked as a chemist and lab director in cities in Kentucky, Ohio, Virginia, Florida (Kennedy Space Center), Colorado and Texas. He enjoyed many physical activities including tennis, running, biking, hiking, swimming, and later walking with his wife and their two dogs, Jenny and Kate.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, June 9, 2023, at 11 a.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 5313 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. Interment will be in St. Cecilia Cemetery. Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence is assisting the family.
