Obituary of Mildred "Millie" Jean Robinson

Mildred Jean Robinson, 96 of Walton, KY, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at St. Elizabeth Hospice, Edgewood, KY surrounded by her loving family. Mildred was born on January 9, 1927, in Corinth, KY to the late Raymond Hope and Georgia Kathryn (nee: Dunn) Readnower. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church Walton, in Walton, KY where she  worked with children in the early years, taught Sunday School, and always looked forward to the Keenagers outings. She also enjoyed bowling and had been on several leagues. She loved spending time with her family, friends, and grandchildren. After her husband retired, they spent half the year in Astor, Florida on Lake Woodruff fishing and enjoying fish fries. She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Robinson in 2005, daughter, Bobbie Jean along with her brothers and sisters. Mildred is survived by her loving daughter, Joy (Tyra) Simpson and brother, Michael (Patti) Readnower. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Sarah Kathryn (Johnathan) Spiller and Benjamin Drew Simpson along with her great grandchildren, Tanner, Isabella, Charlotte, Harlee, Masyn and Owen. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Homes, Walton, KY with funeral services to follow at 12:00pm. Burial will be at Walton Cemetery, Walton, KY.
