Obituary of Florence Loreeka "Reek" Johnson

Florence Loreeka “Reek” Johnson, age 91, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2023, in Brooksville, FL. She was born on July 11, 1931, in Fiskburg, KY to the late Edward and Sarah Armstrong. Reek enjoyed reading in her down time, she loved to laugh, and most of all she loved to spend time with her family. She absolutely doted over her grandchildren. Reek was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister who will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her sister Noma Carty, son, Herb (Mary) Johnson; beloved grandchildren, Amber (Greg) Smith, Abbe (Tim) Johnson, and Jakob (Kailee) Johnson; great grandchildren, Maria (Noah), Makayla, Gregory, Alex, Leo, Penelope, and great great grandson Blanton.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Johnny Armstrong, Geneva Madonna, and Chester Armstrong.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike Independence, KY 41051. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Immediately following the service, Reek will be laid to rest at Highland Cemetery in Fort Mitchell, KY.
