Obituary of Donna Jean Williams
Donna Jean Williams, 84, of Morning View, KY, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 1, 2023, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Edgewood, KY, surrounded by her loving family. Donna was born September 3, 1938, in Morning View, KY to the late Orville and Christine (nee: Hamilton) Menefee. She later retired from Piner Elementary School where she worked in the lunchroom. Donna was a longtime member of Sherman Full Gospel Church. During her spare time, she enjoyed going to church on Sundays then out to eat and playing Rook, talking to her sister in law Geri Williams and collecting angels, watching birds, doing word find puzzle's, watching Hallmark and RFD channels and enjoyed Jimmy Swaggart. She also enjoyed planting flowers of any kind. But she usually ended up with mostly yellow flowers, due to it being her favorite color. She also was a very big UK men's basketball fan. Her biggest enjoyment was having her family all together for any occasion and loving on her grandchildren. Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Elbert “Jeff” Williams, brother, Bud Menefee and sister, Carolyn Jenkins. Donna is survived by her loving children, Jeff A. (Michelle) Williams, Todd (Conny Romes) Williams, Tammy (Russ) Hubbard and sister, JoAnn (Ronnie) Chambers. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Courtney Williams, Kelly Williams, David Williams, Aaron Hubbard and Tyler Hubbard, great grandchildren, Margot Sweet, Makayleigh Hubbard, Kamryn Hubbard, Dakoda Hubbard and Amanda Hubbard. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence, KY with funeral services to follow at 3:00 PM. Burial will be at Gardnersville Cemetery, Demossville, KY. Memorial contributions can be made to Sherman Full Gospel Church, 3185 Dixie Hwy., Dry Ridge, KY 41035.
