Obituary of Brian Frederick Shepard

Brian Frederick Shepard, age 62, was reunited in Heaven with family on Friday, May 26, 2023.  He was born in Cincinnati, OH on April 18, 1961, to late Fred and Doris [Wethington] Shepard. Brian was most recently a resident of Warsaw, KY but grew up in Elsmere, KY where he attended Lloyd High School.

Brian was a talented mason and landscaper.  He was generous with his skills; helping not only his clients but many family members and friends build a fireplace or a retaining wall for their homes.  In his free time, he enjoyed watching NASCAR with his brothers and also occasionally went fishing. Brian had a heart for animals, especially dogs.  We are comforted to know that this simple, quiet, and kind-hearted man is peacefully at rest.

Brian was preceded in death by his parents Frederick Horace Shepard and Doris Mae Shepard; his brothers Steven Shepard and Dale Shepard; niece Amy Williams Matalka and beloved dogs Tobi and Teddy.

Surviving to carry on his legacy are his siblings Rebecca (David) Williams, Sharon (Don) Payton, Mark Shepard, Gina (Mike) Vagedes; nieces and nephews Scott Williams, Erin Rademaker, Eric Chester, Kelly Preston, Nicole Mangus, Stephen Shepard, Tess Payton, Ashley Miller, Joe Payton, and Emily Shepard; along with other close relatives, church family and friends. Brian will also be dearly missed by his treasured pup Snoopy (whom he and his mother Doris cared for together).

In keeping with Brian’s wishes he will be cremated and laid to rest at the convenience of the family.
