Obituary of Emogene "Jean" Roberts Clinkenbeard
Emogene “Jean” Roberts Clinkenbeard, age 91, of Florence, KY, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2023, at 1:27 a.m., at Colonial Heights and Gardens in Florence. She was an active member of many organizations including the Florence United Methodist Church, the Wesleyan Women’s Circle, a Life member of the Salvation Army Auxiliary of Covington, KY, St. John’s Nursing Home Auxiliary, Order of the Covington White Shrine, Florence Women’s Club, and a Life member of the St. Luke Hospital West Auxiliary. Jean also volunteered at St. Luke and Booth, and St. Elizabeth Hospitals for 50 years serving as corresponding secretary, gift shop worker/buyer/manager and as part of the Hospital Disaster Team. Over the years she attended many senior functions around Northern Kentucky, always had a quick wit, and was loved dearly by her many family and friends. Jean always recognized the importance of staying connected as a family and she enjoyed getting together with her family and attending family reunions and “cousin days." She is survived by her sons, William L. Clinkenbeard (Betty) and Dale Keith Clinkenbeard; grandchildren, Tim Clinkenbeard (Sarah) and Stacy Clinkenbeard; and great grandchildren, Ella Clinkenbeard, Sophia Clinkenbeard, Maddie Clinkenbeard, Katie Clinkenbeard, and Kylie Catron. Visitation will be Monday, June 12, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with her funeral services immediately following at 1 p.m. at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Florence, KY. Interment will be at New Bethel Cemetery in Verona, KY.
