Obituary of James Robert Yancey

James Robert Yancey, 85, of Florence, died Saturday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence.
He was a retired crane operator with Interlake Steel, attended Florence United Methodist Church and was a Navy veteran of World War II. His wife, Mary Bristow Yancey, died in 2003. A son, John David Yancey, died in 2005. A daughter, Sandra Yancey, died in 2001.
Survivors include a son, James Yancey of Florence, and a granddaughter.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Florence. Visitation will begin there at 10 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Erlanger.
