Obituary of Bill Smith

William “Bill” Smith, 63, of Independence, KY, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 12, 2023, at his residence. The son of the late Barbara Ann {Klein} and Luther Smith Sr., Bill was born in Williamstown, KY on January 14, 1960.

Bill was a farmer and enjoyed being with family and friends.

Those left to carry on Bill’s legacy are his children, Billie (Phillip) Smith and Lou Ann Smith; granddaughters, Madison Vanover and Stevie Smith and companion, Marilyn Smith. Bill also leaves behind his siblings, Lou Ann Duvall, Barbara Smith, Mary Fulton, Luther “Bubby” (Kim) Smith Jr., Debora Young, and Christy (Ted) Smith-Steward; sister-in-law Linda Smith; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brothers David Smith and Pete Smith Sr.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023, from 1PM to 3PM at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, 8461 Dixie Hwy Florence, KY 41042.
