Obituary of Mary Louise Olson

Mary Louise (nee: Bailey) Olson, 71 of Florence, KY, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at her residence. Mary was born on July 17, 1951, in Greenville, MS to the late Charles Dexter and Nannie (nee: Biagioli) Bailey. She was a retired Legal Assistant, who for the last 3 ½ years had loved serving her residents and entertaining her coworkers at Colonial Heights & Gardens Senior Living. Mary was an active part of her local senior center and church, often attending, assisting, and planning events, while dedicating her time to spread the love, warmth, and fun that could be found at both. In addition, Mary enjoyed playing bunco and bingo, spending time with her dear family, and caring for her beloved cats. She never met a stranger and anyone she came in contact with could tell countless tales of the laughter that she brought into their lives.

Mary was a dedicated church devotee as a founding member of First Colony Church of Christ in Sugar Land, Tx, she attended for over 20 years. Following her move to Greenville, MS she attended South Main Church of Christ, before finally calling Florence Church of Christ her new home.

Mary is preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Dexter Bailey II, Lloyd Allen Bailey and Aunt Mary Biagioli. She is survived by her loving husband of 13yrs, Robert Olson and sons, Chris (Melanie) Welch and Zack (Sarah) Duer along with her grandchildren, Hayley, Taylor, Madison, Peyton, Brady, Dylan, Matthew, Sophia and Quentin as well as countless friends and family.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 26, 2023, from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Florence Church of Christ, 1141 Boone Aire Rd., Florence, KY 41042 with funeral services to follow at 12:00pm.
