Obituary of Betty Roter

Betty Jo Weaver Roter, 96, of Williamstown, died Sunday at her home. She was a retired teacher with Walton-Verona schools and a member of Beaverlick Baptist Church. In her later years, she was an aspiring writer and artist, publishing a the books "White Kittens" and "Four Leaf Clovers." Her husband, Raymond Roter, died in 1979. Survivors include a niece, Joella Sleet Flynn. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Walton. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hughes Chapel Cemetery, Union. Memorials are suggested to Beaverlick Baptist Church, 11460 U.S. 42, Union, Ky. 41091; Beaverlick Christian Church, 12665 U.S. 42, Walton, Ky. 41094; or the charity of the donor's choice.
