Obituary of Sherry Forman - Ricks
Sherry Lane Forman-Ricks, 72, of Union, KY, passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. The daughter of the late Donald and Sonia (Ramsey) Forman, Sherry was born in Covington, KY, on November 20, 1950. A proud veteran, Sherry served in the United States Air Force as a Staff Sergeant for four years.
Sherry was known for staying organized, having a happy and humble attitude, and being a great role model to all. She was positive, forgiving, and never held a grudge. She loved to take care of people in the background as she had a true servant’s heart. In her spare time, she enjoyed dancing with her husband to country western music. She also loved gardening and was Chairman of the HOA Landscaping Committee where she lived. Most importantly, Sherry was devoted to her family and will be greatly missed.
Sherry will be deeply missed by her beloved husband, Sam “Jack” Ricks; son Adrian (Melissa) Brown; siblings Barry (Rea) Forman, Karen Fugate-Forman, JoAnn (Steve) Andrew, Donna (Jerry) Gunderson, Clyde Arnold “Arnie” (Susan) Forman, Timothy (Lisa) Forman, and Christy (Grant) Forman; grandchildren Leighton, Elisabeth, Greta, and Solanus “Sonny”; brother-in-law Eric Reihing; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Sherry was preceded in death by her brother Lanny Alexander Forman and sister Linda Laake.
A visitation will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023, between 11 AM and 12 PM at Fort Mitchell Baptist Church, 2323 Dixie Hwy. Ft. Mitchell, KY 41017. A Celebration of Life Service will immediately follow at 12 PM.
Sherry will be inurned at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown, KY. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society at donate.cancer.org.
