Obituary of Nicholas Brinkman
Nicholas Brinkman, 44, of Florence, KY, passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his loved ones. The son of Rebecca {Slater} and Henry F. Brinkman, Nicholas was born in Covington, KY, on May 8, 1979. He is an alumni of Covington Catholic High School and attended the Art Academy of Cincinnati and went on to build his own business, Bluegrass Tree Service, in Florence.
In his spare time, Nicholas enjoyed spending time with his beloved daughter, she was his pride and joy. Nicholas and his daughter loved going out to eat together and trying different restaurants, but often settled on Olive Garden’s shrimp alfredo twice a week. Nicholas also enjoyed watching reality and HGTV shows with his daughter on the daily. Nicholas also looked forward to spending time with his many friends, he had a soft spot for ALL animals and much of his time was spent caring for them. He was an athlete in his early and teen years and loved weightlifting and fitness throughout his whole life. Nicholas had a natural gift for drawing and painting. Nicholas also loved rooting for the Cincinnati Bengals.
Nicholas will be deeply missed by his daughter, Kyla Brinkman; parents Henry and Rebecca Brinkman; his Cane Corso, Tyson; and his Shih Tzu grand-puppy, King.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Alma and Emil Leroy and his two rottweilers, Max and Maddie.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 6th, between 5 PM and 7 PM with a memorial service to begin at 7 PM at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, 8461 Dixie Hwy Florence, KY 41042. Memorial donations may be made to the family in c/o Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home. As a tribute to Nicholas, the family encourages everyone to wear his favorite color, blue, to his services.
