Obituary of Richard Mullins

Richard R. Mullins, 90, of Demossville, KY, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 2, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY surrounded by his loving family. Richard was born October 31, 1932, to the late Robert “Bill” Winfred and Ida Mae (nee: Kidwell) Mullins. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Richard later retired as a maintenance worker after 45yrs. with Liberty Cherry in Latonia, KY. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and 4-H. During his spare time, he enjoyed being with family and friends. He was a UK Basketball fan and also won the two man saw competition at the Kenton Co. Fair for 5yrs. standing. He was preceded in death by his sister, Geraldine Smith. He is survived by his loving wife of 67yrs., Arvella (nee: Dincler) Mullins and their daughter, Darice (Thomas) Mullins-Beemon. He also leaves behind his brother, Clayton Kent (Luzie) Mullins. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2023, from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence, KY. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 7, 2023 at 11:00AM. Burial will follow funeral services at Wilmington Baptist Cemetery, Demossville, KY with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Elizabeth Hospice, 483 South Loop Rd, Edgewood, KY 41017.
