Obituary of Frank W. Penick

Frank W. Penick, Jr. of DeMossville, age 89, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY. He was born in Covington, KY on March 3, 1934, to the late Frank and Marie Penick. He retired after working many years for Cincinnati Bell. Frank had a passion for farming and loved spending time outside. He enjoyed camping, hunting, and taking his boat out. He also enjoyed watching football, especially the Bengals, and recently took up dancing again!

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Jean Penick.

He is survived by his children, Karen (Bill) Butt, Michael (Terrie) Penick, and Todd (Lisa) Penick; stepchildren, April Burns, Lorie Gerding, and Kent (Angie) Doud; sister, Nora Kelly; 14 grandchildren; 22 greatgrandchildren; and 3 great-greatgrandchildren; as well as several other friends and relatives who will cherish his memory.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2023, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Carters Chapel United Methodist Church, 1044 Carters Chapel Rd, Demossville, KY 41033. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM at the church. Immediately following the service, Frank will be laid to rest at Carters Chapel Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made in his name to the church.
