James “Jim” Ballard, 89, resident of Oldsmar, FL passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at Carmel Manor in Ft. Thomas, KY, surrounded by his loving family. The son of the late John L. and Florence {Thornton} Ballard, Jim was born in Covington, KY on December 26, 1933. He retired from US Food Service as the Director of Sales. He was a former member of Southside Baptist Church in Latonia.  Jim enjoyed the time spent living on Lake Cumberland and he especially loved the warm winters in Florida.

Jim will be deeply missed by his significant other, Sara Sawyer; children Rodney (Beverly) Ballard and Susan (Don) Stewart; brother Ronnie (Bonnie) Ballard; four grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and nephew Rick (Sandy) Scroggins.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Patricia {Latimer} Ballard; son Phillip Ballard; and sisters Beatrice Beach and Doris Scroggins.

A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
