Jim Glenkler, 90, of Morning View, KY, passed away peacefully Monday, August 21, 2023, at Celebration Villa of Highland Crossing surrounded by his loving family. Jim was born on July 7, 1933, to the late Albert Conrad and Bertha Margaret (nee: Selms) Glenkler. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Jim later retired as a carpenter in construction after 35yrs. with Drees Co. in Ft. Mitchell, KY. He was a member of St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church in Independence, KY. During his spare time Jim enjoyed being with family and friends and was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52yrs, Mary Ann (nee: Reynolds) Glenkler along with his brothers, Albert and Jack Glenkler, sister, Thelma Brown and grandson, Joey Justice. Jim is survived by his loving daughters, Myra Glenkler-Daugherty, Margie Beatrice and Linda (Matthew) Justice. He also leaves behind 8 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023, from 10:00AM until 11:00AM at St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church in Independence, KY with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11am. Burial will be at St. Cecilia cemetery with Military Honors to follow. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church, 5313 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051 or St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church, 485 Grand Ave., Taylor Mill, KY 41015.
